I am a reporter with a unique beat. I use my understanding of planetary cycles to provide advance notice and analysis on the Zeitgeist of the day. If you have ever wondered “why is this happening now,” my insights will transform your experience of the headlines, adding new meaning and understanding. Call it Astrology for News Junkies. If you’re curious to know why the Impossible Burger is trending…or why the outcome of the 2019 Israeli elections was likely to be a shocker …or why “Woodrow Wilson, Stud Muffin” was a New York Times headline in December 2013, you will find it here, in over a decade’s worth of historical research and reporting.
Note that I do use astrological jargon in The Forecast in my effort to show how the planetary patterns are reflected in mundane events. I explain what the jargon symbolizes, so that all who want to understand the connections between astrology and the news may do so. However, I do not use astrological jargon in personal consultations, just plain English.
Monday 2/5/2024: Sneak Peek at the Week; the Grammys & Much More
/in The ForecastAllllrighty then!
Covid is far from over, as planetary patterns observed in recent months suggested, not to mention my own personal experience. I tested positive six days ago, and am only now coming out of a mental fog. On the upside, the initial headache wasn’t as intense as the first time, and I didn’t lose my sense of smell and taste. On the downside, I blame myself for not adhering to my usual strict policy of wearing a mask everywhere I go, including the common areas of my building. One of my neighbors tested positive the day before I did — someone I’d chatted with in the hallway several days earlier. In a moment of derring-do, I’d gone downstairs to the lobby to retrieve a package — without a mask. My bad! Please, dear Avid Reader, wear that mask. I’m sick of wearing them too, but I’d rather you feel sick about a mask, than actually be sick!
Is it possible to see in a horoscope when you are more susceptible to catching a virus? Of course! In my case, it did not go unnoticed that the conjunction of Mercury and Mars last month squared my Midheaven, one of the angles (that’s the technical term) of the horoscope. Experience shows that the angles are more sensitive to transits, and any hard aspect from Mars is 100% guaranteed to be provocative — for better and/or worse.
Not only that, but the South Node was on my Midheaven (career and public status). In the language of astrology, the South Node suggests destruction. Meanwhile, I’ve got a Neptune transit to another planet, suggesting extra focus may be required in communication and travel, lest I do myself in. Yet another alert is what’s happening to Saturn, ruler of my Ascendant (one of the health areas of a horoscope). It just got zapped by Uranus (disruption; breakthrough) and it is squaring my Moon, which is putting a squeeze on another area of the horoscope related to health.
The silver lining here — because there always an upside potential to a planetary pattern — is that I had zero ability to put words together for a consultation, forecast, or PowerPoint. But I could entertain myself by surfing the web — and stumbled across a website with volumes of scanned archives from villages in 19th century Italy, including the one where my Italian great-grandparents were born.
Students of astrology will appreciate that while the South Node was on my Midheaven (figuratively wiping out my professional/public status last week, starting with Mailchump not delivering Monday’s forecast until Tuesday evening), the North Node was on my IC (roots; core family foundation). The North Node suggests growth. And Mars (remember that Mars transit from three paragraphs ago?) rules my IC. We see the potential for a growth spurt in core family concerns!
And that’s what happened. I harnessed the intense, dirt-digging potential of today’s Mercury-Pluto conjunction, and scoured the exquisite calligraphy of those Italian archives. I discovered records for all of my great-grandparents’ relatives, including their parents and grandparents. Best of all, birth times were recorded, and you can see in those horoscopes (!!!) the astro-logic of why their lives are being brought to light NOW by their relentlessly inquisitive American descendant. The horoscope lives forever…and I’ll be sharing a couple of these charts in my talk next Monday (via Zoom) at the London School of Astrology (open to the public, as you can see here).
But enough about me. Hopefully your takeaway here is a greater understanding of how astrology helps us appreciate why things happen when they do. When I consult with clients, I ask them to tell me what they see for themselves in the future, and then we discuss how the potential suggested by the patterns in their horoscope can help them realize their dreams.
And now…
Highlights this Week
It goes like this:
And now, the news.
It couldn’t have happened at a better time for those aforementioned unconventional women who rocked the Grammys last night:
This is the perfect spot to share Beth Owl’s Daughter’s always-in-sync –Tarot Card of the Week.
In other news…
The U.S. economy continues to perform beyond expectations, with the sextile between Jupiter and Saturn now at quite possibly the closest it’s going to get since its exact sextile last June. This is one of the major patterns that reflects the stunning job numbers, market performance, etc. that came in last week. As I wrote last June, on the Summer Solstice:
In revisiting what I wrote back then about the chart for the Solstice, I see I’ve made a number of predictions for events happening later this month, for those who are interested. With respect to what happens next between Jupiter and Saturn, we’ll find out around August 19 and December 24, when they form the first two of three squares. Think of it as a First Quarter Moon phase in a dance that began on December 21, 2020. We can expect challenges and a need to make adjustments, and we’ll see what sticks when the third Jupiter-Saturn square happens in June 2025.
There’s much to say about other U.S. news, but Avid Readers have asked for commentary on the latest announcement from Buckingham Palace: King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer. Kate, Princess of Wales also had a health issue last month, and so did Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York. Coincidence, conspiracy, or astrology?
First of all, I’ve said repeatedly that the horoscopes of the key players in the British Royal Family are all impacted by planets at 0 Aquarius. The Great Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn on December 21. 2020 was at 0 Aquarius. Pluto hit 0 Aquarius for the first time last March, and for the second time on January 20.
Given this and other significant patterns I see in their respective horoscopes, it would not surprise me at all if King Charles were to step aside and Prince William were to be crowned king in 2025. Patterns in the horoscope suggest significant change. However, there are plenty of other scenarios — some that are perhaps currently unimaginable — that would fall into the category of “significant change.” Stick around, and by the end of 2025, we’ll find out what it is. Until then, my wish is that the treatment King Charles receives is successful, and that he spends the rest of his long life doing whatever pleases him most.
Meanwhile, I will be discussing upcoming developments in the horoscope of Queen Elizabeth in my presentation to the London School of Astrology. Yes, the school is charging non-students an admission fee, because they are paying an honorarium to the speakers, but the talk is open to the general public.
What’s going on in your horoscope? Here’s the 411 on personal consultations.

Monday 1/29/2024: Sneak Peek at the Week; 1861 in Review; Mind the Void!
/in The ForecastAllllllllllrighty then!
The Moon has been in Virgo since Saturday afternoon ET, facilitating discernment in your quest for a more perfect, better organized world. In the wake of the potential shock to the system suggested by Uranus (rebels and other disruptions to the status quo) turning direct early Saturday morning, combined with an abundance of easy connections among five planets in Earth signs (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Uranus, and the Moon), much could be accomplished on the material plane, and this potential continues through today. For me, I was inspired to tear apart my entire filing system over the weekend, sorting, purging and reorganizing a Saturn cycle’s worth of work in multiple careers. How about you? Did you watch the big game?
There are only two exact patterns (other than contacts with the Moon) this week:
It goes like this:
And now, the news…
…in which astrology is batting 1000. Headlines last week were big, big, big (reflecting Friday’s square between the Sun (leaders; ego identity) and Jupiter (big, big, big), and they were disruptive (reflecting Uranus, le provocateur, turning direct. Women were in the spotlight (thank you, Venus at the Aries Point), and most of the kids in the cosmic sandbox were getting along famously, reflecting an accord among some (in Congress, for example) you’d never imagine could reach across the aisle.
Now that all planets are direct in motion I expect events to move forward — and fast — over the next few months, and I’ll do my best present the astro-logic of it all. The biggest challenge is choosing what to write about. I’m old enough to remember when the most important national news at this time (in a non-inaugural year) was the Super Bowl, with nothing to distract me from doing astro-color commentary on Facebook, anticipating the action in advance. The end of the NFL season was the conceit of SNL’s cold open, and while most critics were not amused, I appreciated it.
But since this year’s Super Bowl involves Taylor Swift’s beau Travis Kelce, (isn’t just adorable how his Venus in Scorpio is conjunct her Mars), maybe the Super Bowl will be the most important national news story in a couple of weeks, after all. Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs will play the San Francisco 49ers on February 11th.
But this week, the biggest story for most late-night comedy show writers and audiences was:
As you can see in this excerpt from the 2019 Summer Solstice forecast, E. Jean is designed to hold TFG accountable:
Avid Reader Jeri was quick to email me the current transits (thanks, Jeri!)
Revenge…for Venus in Scorpio square Pluto (extremes) sounds about right.
Meanwhile, astrogeeks in the room will appreciate that attorney George Conway (who connected E. Jean with her lawyer, Roberta Kaplan), helpfully shared his introductory email with the Entire Free World — and the email has a time-stamp: July 16, 2019 at 8:47 AM. OMG, check out this chart, set in New York — it’s jaw-dropping. The introduction is in the inner ring — look carefully at the Ascendant and the Midheaven, and tell me what you see. Those angles should be familiar! The outer ring is the time this latest verdict was scheduled to be announced, and there is a ton of synchronicity between the two charts, validating the outcome of that introduction. Astrology. Is. Amazing!!!
In other news…
Uranus refers to agents of change and declarations of independence, and as I wrote last week, Uranus is in Taurus, which refers to territory (among other things).
Historian Heather Cox Richardson provides further details, along with her usual historical perspective:
In other words, HCR observes that it seems we may have been here before. History has a way of repeating itself, and so do planetary patterns and cycles. So…what’s going on in 2024 that was also going on in 1861?
Thanks to Greg Olear for writing about Jefferson Davis’ farewell speech to Congress in the latest post in PREVAIL (Olear’s Substack page). The farewell speech happened around 1 PM ET on January 21, 1861, in Washington, DC. Uranus was at 8 Gemini, square to Saturn at 8 Virgo. There’s a clash of the avant-garde vs. the old guard, with a possible stalemate. That’s the energy of that particular day, and note that 8 Gemini is where Uranus — the need for freedom in a horoscope — is in the chart of the United States.
In his speech, Davis explained why he believed that States had the right to leave the Union, supporting the state of Mississippi’s declared wish to do just that. Rebelling against the established order in a bid for independence is what we’d expect of an entity experiencing a Uranus return. The United States is scheduled to have its 3rd Uranus return starting in July 2027 until May 2028. So…not right now.
However, the Sun was at 1 Aquarius on the day of Davis’ speech, so what he had to say may be empowered by Pluto this year. Also, transiting Uranus will be squaring the Moon in the Sibly chart (linked below). We get the first pass in August-September; the second one in May 2025; and the third one in January-March 2026. The U.S. Moon is in Aquarius, where it seeks to be appreciated for its unique social significance within a group of like-minded souls. We are likely to see an intensification of what we’re already seeing. Some will seek to level the playing field; others will claim the freedom to do whatever they like in matters of home and homeland security — to the point of seeming to be losing their heads.
Meanwhile, Neptune was at the verrrry end of Pisces in 1861, and that will happen for a few months this summer and again in 2025. Under a Neptune transit, boundaries and borders may become porous; that which seemed firm may seem to dissolve; things may not be as they seem. In the Sibly chart, which has proven to be a reliable horoscope for the United States, Neptune at the verrrrry end of Pisces will be close enough to the IC (the bottom of the chart) to experience its potential.
Translation: the ground underneath our feet may not feel solid. The very end of Pisces can feel like the end of the world, and it may well be the end of a world. However, if you choose to see time as cyclical — not linear — you can be certain that whatever ends will be replaced with something new. That’s your coping strategy. Another coping strategy is to appreciate that Neptune refers to healing, inspiration and ideals.
You can use this astrological perspective to appreciate why immigration and border issues may be pushed this year to an apparent crisis point — with prominence. You can also see how last week’s surge of cooperation among the planets, especially in earthy, practical concerns (like funding immigration and border controls) would be reflected as a possible bipartisan Congressional deal in these matters…so long as the disruptors in the House don’t sabotage it, as in “Oklahoma GOP condemns Senator Lankford (R-OK) for bipartisan border talks.”
File these headlines mostly under Uranus turning direct in Taurus, with a smidgen of Pluto in Aquarius and big old Jupiter squaring the Sun:

Venus at the Aries Point, sextile Saturn and trine Jupiter suggested prominent news involving women, art, money, and social expression.

Monday 1/22/2024: Sneak Peek at the Week; Full Moon in Leo; Uranus Turns Direct
/in The ForecastAlllllrighty then!
It’s official. Pluto has returned for its second dip into Aquarius, a sign it hasn’t traveled through since the time of the French Revolution and the drafting of the U.S. Constitution. Power to the people…equality for all…and/or…in this New Age of Technology, Big Brother is very likely watching you. Pluto refers to extremes; Aquarius refers to networks, circulation, and aviation. Watch for extremes, breakdown, transformation, and empowerment in those areas…and more.
Highlights this week are:
So…grand emotions build to a release on Thursday, with more grandiosity (for better or worse) over the weekend. Humming in the background is Uranus, slowing to a virtual standstill as it prepares to turn direct in Taurus. Uranus refers to disruption, innovation, lightning bolts and seismic activity; Taurus refers to Earth, real estate, banking, retail, food, the body and sensual pleasures, and the proverbial bull. Watch the headlines.
It goes like this:
A pause, while we look at the chart for the Full Moon in Leo, set in Washington, D.C.:
Observations:
Back to the forecast:
The last time I mentioned the Your Year Ahead report that many clients purchase as a useful timing tool to supplement their consultations, I neglected to include a link. Oy! So here is that link — scroll down to the REPORTS section.
And now, the news.
Saturday morning Pluto met up with the Sun at the verrrry end of Capricorn, and by the end of the day, both were in Aquarius, activating the 2020 Great Conjunction of Jupiter-Saturn at 0 Aquarius. We expected dramatic power plays involving leaders of business and state. Aquarius is an air sign, thus potentially breaking down and/or empowering matters related to that element, including how we think about science and stuff. Aquarius is the sign of “I love you, but don’t take it personally.”
A sampling of headlines from mainstream media homepages:
Speaking of politics…
In the U.S., after a fraction of Iowa’s registered Republicans gave the former guy just over 51% of their votes in the Iowa Caucus. all of his Republican challengers except Nikki Haley had ended their campaigns. It’s interesting to read differing perspectives on what this suggests, with pundits like Steve Schmidt seeing it as an alarming victory, and others, like Heather Cox Richardson noting that this 51% represented only 55,000 people in a state with 3 million people.
After tossing in the towel, Vivek Ramaswamy, Ron DeSantis, and Tim Scott then threw their support behind the former guy. You may recall that Scott has been operating under the influence of dreamy/foggy Neptune for many months, as the planet of Things Not Being As They Seem opposes Scott’s Virgo Sun. The 58-year-old senator and seemingly lifelong bachelor’s Venus (who, what and how he needs to love) was impacted by last October’s lunar eclipse, reflected by the surprising news a few weeks ago that he has a girlfriend, who as of last weekend — is now his fiancee.
Meanwhile, at the annual gathering of the Powers That Be at the World Economic Forum in Davos (aptly timed for a week with the Sun conjunct Pluto at the verrrrry end of PTB Capricorn), the CEO of JPMorgan Chase — Jamie Dimon — could have been auditioning to be the former guy‘s pick for Secretary of Commerce, given how much praise he heaped on TFG’s “policies”. Dimon’s horoscope was a frequent topic of discussion in this forecast some years ago, and before I pulled it up on the computer (3/13/56 in NYC — birth time unknown), I figured I’d see a whole lot of Neptune fogging up the windshield. And in fact, Dimon’s horoscope is receiving multiple hits to his Neptune (from Jupiter and Pluto), and it’s likely that his me-me-me first Aries Moon is receiving a hit from Neptune. Translation: the memory hole may be in high gear; rose-colored glasses are a daily fashion accessory. Either that, or Dimon is really upset that the Biden Adminstration — via the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau — is seeking to limit the amount banks can charge for overdraft fees…power to the people, as Pluto in Aquarius might say.
And this is where I was at in the forecast when I learned that Beth Owl’s Daughter’s Tarot Card of the Week is the Devil. This suggests enthrallment…meaning, people surrender themselves to the will of another, when in fact they are free to walk away at any time. Here is Beth’s take…and see how it builds on last week’s card of blindfolded inertia, the Eight of Swords.
Speaking of the Devil…
Today I wish this forecast was posted on a platform like Substack, where Avid Readers could post comments on the stories and observations presented here. Would you like that? Please email me with your thoughts — or hit reply and start typing.
I’m wishing this now because of Avid Reader Dave who emailed me some days ago, asking me to “please reconsider demonizing any particular individual,” pointing out that many do not see, for example, the former guy as a wannabe dictator, and perhaps think of him fondly because when they bought their home in 2019, mortgage rates were around 3% or less. Dave has a point, and it made me think about Debbie, whom I met last summer in Maine.
Debbie is a 60-something firecracker — a widow with a really cool speedboat and a baby carrier strapped in the back seat of her SUV (for her adorable grandchild). I was her guest — in a party of five — for a joyful day spent zooming all over Great Pond, one of the most gorgeous lakes you will ever see. When Debbie’s husband died several years ago, she had learn to do many things she’d always relied on her husband to do. She learned to trade cryptocurrency, and thanks to her successful instincts, she made enough to buy the boat. How cool is that? Pot is another pastime, and there were many joints passed around that afternoon (I opted for white wine). Boats…pot…cryptocurrency…we’d see a lot of Neptune if we looked at her horoscope.
The boating party was in awe of my past life in Hollywood — film, TV (especially the network that gave America “The Apprentice”), and news. As we were conversing, Debbie leaned over and whispered — so only I could hear — “…but those boxes…are those really for REAL?” She was talking about the boxes of stolen classified documents that were found in the loo and other places by the FBI when they got a warrant to search Mar-a-Lago. She had to whisper because other members of the party got their news from Fox and NewsMax, and had already told her in no uncertain terms that the photos were fake.
What does one say to a question like that?
I never got to figure it out, because her cousin leaned in and handed her the communal joint. The conversation turned to cryptocurrency trading tips. The day ended with a magical sunset and much gratitude for the convivial, beautiful escape.
Meanwhile…
I highly recommend this Twitter thread from Inner City Press, live tweeting the voir dire of the 80 random New Yorkers called for jury duty in the latest trial in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation suit against the former guy. Where do these random 80 people get their news? How do they spend their time? You’ll find out. Truly it is helpful to appreciate the differing perspectives of our fellow voyagers on Spaceship Earth.
Anyhoo…
Planetary patterns in 2024 suggest it will become increasingly more difficult to determine what’s real and what’s not:
Writer/academic Sarah Kendzior, who correctly predicted the outcome of the 2016 election, observes that the drama unfolding — with respect to the former guy’s trials — is much like the afternoon soap operas she watched with her grandmother. Tune out for a few months, and you can easily pick up the narrative when you come back. That’s how slowly it progresses — intentionally.
Food for thought this week.
What would you, dear Avid Reader, like me to write about? And how often? If you look back a few years ago, you’ll see I used to write shorter tidbits, five days a week. Some complained that that was too many. What do you think?
Aside from politics, it’s notable that actor Christopher Reeve is due for a wealth of recognition this year, according to his horoscope. A documentary about his life reduced the audience at Sundance to tears last week. Reeve died in 2004, but his horoscope lives forever.
Astrology is amazing.
You know how I like to end these musings with something uplifting and empowering.
Here’s the 411 on personal consultations.

Monday 1/15/2024: Sneak Peek at a Short Work Week; Politics, As Usual…
/in The ForecastAllllrighty then!
Today is s a holiday for many workers in the United States, as we pause to honor the pioneering civil rights leader, Martin Luther King, Jr., whose horoscope was first written about here a decade ago. As MLK continues to be a powerful influence, it’s helpful to look at his horoscope for clues to challenges and opportunities each year. Last year, I wrote:
Planetary highlights this week are:
This is a week of power plays, many involving leaders of business and state. It starts out dreamy, perhaps, but packs a punch over the weekend.
(A pause, while I recap thoughts on Pluto in Aquarius from last week’s forecast):
And what’s the buzz in your horoscope these days? If it’s been over a year since your last consultation, you’re overdue for a check-up. Astrologers are like dentists, doncha’ know. Schedule accordingly, to minimize the need for cosmic root canals. Here’s the 411 on personal consultations.
And now, the news.
How about the weather in the U.S., huh? Extremes of cold in many states. Where do we see the potential in planetary patterns for an outburst of energy that could be challenging? From last week’s forecast, perhaps, as in:
We might also consider that Taurus and Capricorn are considered to be cold and dry…and we have two planets in Taurus now, and four in Capricorn, including Pluto, which is associated with extremes. Hmm.
Meanwhile…
UPDATE: on Chris Christie, who ended his presidential run in accordance with patterns in his horoscope. Transiting Saturn (strategy, cuts & losses) is in hard aspect to his Moon, Jupiter and Midheaven, and by spring will have moved on to his oppose his Virgo Sun and Pluto. A fresh start kicks in this spring, as Uranus completes a series of squares to his Scorpio Ascendant. I’d wager he has some ambitious plan up his sleeve, and he’ll be feeling a squeeze through December. 2025 may coincide with a reward for his effort.
UPDATE: on Dean Phillips (D-MN), not-so-affectionately known as #DropOutDean on the former Twitter. When we last discussed the Congressman and his longshot bid to become President, we noted that his Sun is either 29 Capricorn or 0 Aquarius, and thus up for some serous empowerment over the next 13 months. Today he floated the idea of nominating Elon Musk or Bill Ackman for a Cabinet position, should he win the White House, which only reinforces my previously stated belief that Neptune must be making a huge statement in his horoscope right about now, if only we had a birth time. Meanwhile, his Sun is realizing its potential for empowerment, with two billionaires now apparently backing him.
Bill Ackman — one of the billionaires — may not be a household name for many Avid Readers. He’s a hedge fund manager whom I first noticed over a decade ago when working at CNBC. He was often on that network at that time because of his controversial bet on Herbalife. He believed the company was built on a Ponzi scheme and would therefore fail. This is fascinating from an astrological perspective because Ackman has a Sun-Mars conjunction in Taurus opposing his Neptune and Midheaven. Neptune refers to things not being as they seem. Neptune also refers to philanthropy, and, when we also consider that Ackman’s Jupiter (benevolence; generosity) is in high-functioning Cancer and at the Aries Point, we see how he could become known for his charity, as well as his speculative ventures.
Anyhoo…Ackman’s horoscope was impacted by the October 28th lunar eclipse, which squared his Aquarius Moon…which was activated by transiting Jupiter as it stationed on the eclipse degree at 5 Taurus at the end of December. Translation: accelerated activity in domestic affairs and matters of the higher mind. And right on schedule, Ackman burst into the news as “the Jewish avenger” who “took down” Claudine Gay (Harvard’s former president), as reported in the linked article…and two weeks later, left the Democratic Party to form a think tank that will challenge what Ackman sees as antisemitism and reverse discrimination in academia. He’s going after the media, too…after Business Insider reported on examples of alleged plagiarism committed by Ackman’s wife, former MIT professor Neri Oxman. Accusations of plagiarism is what reportedly, ultimately, led to Gay’s ouster.
What’s interesting astro-logically about this controversy is how it reflects the anticipated debate, discussion and/or fight for control over how people think and communicate, in the aftermath of the 2020 Great Conjunction — a.k.a. the Great Mutation of Jupiter-Saturn in Aquarius, a.k.a. the new age of Air.
So…Ackman’s domestic affairs and matters of the higher mind are thrust into the spotlight…as an example of what can happen when an eclipse affects one’s horoscope (and here is Ackman’s). With Jupiter and Uranus about to connect with Ackman’s Taurus Sun in April…and with Pluto soon to square his Mercury, Ackman’s need for a persuasive and empowerment mindset is likely to make headlines for a couple of years.
UPDATE: on Hunter Biden, whose horoscope was also activated by transiting Jupiter. In his case, it opposed his natal Jupiter at 5 Scorpio, just as a solar arc (another way astrologers measure time) between Saturn and Pluto became exact. Any hard aspect between Saturn and Pluto suggests hard, hard work in the face of potential loss. For Biden, it was reflected by the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee holding a hearing on whether to charge him with contempt for his refusal to testify in a closed-door hearing.
Biden — living up to the potential of a daring Mars in Aries-Uranus in Libra opposition in his horoscope, squared by transiting Mars — made a surprise appearance at the hearing, prompting Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) to denounce Biden for exercising his “white privilege.” Mace’s remarks were duly reported in the Hindustan Times. Astrologically, it’s interesting to note that Mace, like Hunter Biden, has a hard contact between Mars and Uranus in her horoscope; both are born disruptors. And Mace’s horoscope, like Biden’s, was also receiving a provocative transit from Mars (the energy of action and assertion) that week, and it made news around the world.
Meanwhile, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) was yet another person at that hearing operating under the influence of Mars. Here she is explaining in no uncertain terms why it was only logical that Biden would only agree to testify in a public hearing…and what this video of her speech illustrates is how transiting Mars squaring five planets in a horoscope may be expressed in the life of the individual. Translation: we anticipate fiery provocation. Crockett’s horoscope (she’s an Aries with Moon in Capricorn) was discussed in this prior forecast.
WaPo affirmed Crockett’s take, reporting, “Weighing action against Hunter Biden, GOP resorts to falsehoods”
Here are a few stories reflecting tonight’s sextile between Sun and Neptune:
FYI, here’s an article I wrote about Boeing’s horoscope a few years ago….

Monday 1/8/2024: Sneak Peek at a Productive Week; New Moon in Capricorn; The Year Ahead
/in The ForecastWell, it’s about time…
…to get things started. Yea, verily, planetary patterns are primed for action — and for a good, long stretch. All planets — except Uranus — are direct in motion. They are connected together in ways that facilitate Getting Stuff Done. And you? What would you like to accomplish over the next few months? Go for it!
Highlights this week include:

A pause, while we discuss the New Moon in Capricorn, set in Washington, D.C.
Observations:
Back to the day-by-day:
So…that’s the outlook for the week. But what about the year?
Briefly, we can expect the pace to pick up, at least through the end of May, when nearly all the planets will be direct in motion, and at fastest-than-average speeds. Highlights for this period include:
So, like that…at least through May. Obviously this is a pivotal year, and the United States isn’t the only country that has a decision to make about whether it’s going exist as a democracy or a dictatorship. I’m feeling optimistic, even while anticipating one heck of a wild ride.
And now, the news.
Speaking of democracy, Heather Cox Richardson has the highlights of a speech President Biden gave at Valley Forge to launch his re-election campaign. He gave that speech as transiting Mars squared his Neptune in Libra. Translation: faith and vision, energized. Biden vowed to make democracy the focus of his campaign, which he said was still “a sacred cause.”
Because I’m feeling optimistic, here are several stories that might make you feel optimistic, too:
