Monday 5/27/2024: Sneak Peek at a Short Work Week

Good morning from San Francisco on this Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Highlights for this short work week are:

  • Mercury sextile Saturn on Monday
  • Mercury conjunct Uranus on Friday
  • Jupiter trine Pluto on Sunday
  • Mercury sextile Neptune on Sunday

So...Mercury is our star player. In the language of astrology, Mercury refers to how we need to think and communicate. It refers to information and transportation.

It goes like this:

  • MONDAY: Moon in Capricorn drives the day with a need for achievement in practical, earthy, status-conscious terms. It starts with an innovative lift, as Moon trines Uranus at 6:05 AM ET. It travels through the day without interference, only sextiling Neptune at 4:01 PM ET before going void for less than an hour. At 4:44 PM ET, Moon enters Aquarius, now seeking a more humanitarian approach to problem-solving, and hopefully it will enable everyone to be appreciated for their unique social  significance within a group. Moon gives us a hint of Sunday’s trine between Jupiter and Pluto as it trines Jupiter and meets up with Pluto at 5:32 PM ET and 8:09 PM ET, respectively. Talk — and possibly double talk — involving the Powers That Be may be highlighted, with significant accord by the week’s end. In your own personal world, you may profit from the easy flow between Jupiter (expansion) and Pluto (power and resources) if you have planets or angles around 2 degrees of just about any sign. A sobering mindset permeates today, reflecting the sextile between Mercury and Saturn, exact at 11:22 PM ET. This may be helpful for anyone seeking a supportive structure for ideas intended to bolster comfort and stability.
  • TUESDAY: The Aquarius Moon trines Venus at 2:10 ET and  trines Sun at 5:54 AM ET, fostering a sense of balance upon waking. Moon travels without interference for the rest of the day, possibly building to a surprise twist early Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, closing arguments begin in Manhattan, after which we wait to see if the man who recently promised to make the U.S. a “unified reich” will be convicted of any of the 34 felony counts against him (in that particular court case). Avid Readers may recall past forecasts alerting us to May 30 through June 3rd, as a likely volatile period for him. We may get a sneak peek of that volatility on…
  • WEDNESDAY: …as Moon connects with Mercury (by square), Mars (by sextile) and Uranus (by square) at 4:35 AM ET, 6:46 AM ET and 10:19 AM ET. A surprising revelation or unexpected twist is likely to capture our attention, after which the Aquarius Moon will be void for the next ten hours. A Moon void suggests a period of wandering focus, with a higher than average probability of twists and flakes in efforts to move forward in a straight line. Stick to routine concerns; avoid impulse shopping and/or initiatives you wish to be of consequence. Note that crises which crop up during Moon voids are often much ado about nothing, usually resolved once the Moon enters the next sign. CHILL — and don’t make a mountain out of a molehill. During the void, note that Mars (action, aggression, assertion) meets up with Chiron (the Wounded Healer) at 1:08 PM ET, potentially sparking a crisis in matters of men, war, steel and other Mars-ruled themes. Finally, at 8:32 PM ET, Moon enters Pisces, shifting our focus to matters involving ideals, impressions, and empathy, possibly in a big way, as Moon squares Jupiter at 10:32 PM ET.
  • THURSDAY: Moon in Pisces squares Venus in Gemini at 10:43 AM ET, suggesting adjustments in matters of social expression that values cleverness at the expense of sentiment. Third Quarter Moon at 1:12 PM ET between the Moon and Gemini Sun may also spark tension as we enter the last week of the New Moon in Taurus agenda. Consider the projects you launched this month. What needs to happen next for them to reflect the potential they may have to create material comfort and security? You are more personally affected by this Third Quarter Moon if you are Viktor Orban, Brooke Shields or Rudy Giuliani...and/or if you have planets or angles around 9 degrees of any sign, but especially Gemini or Pisces. Note that this Third Quarter Moon activates Aldebaran, a fixed star with qualities similar to Mars, for better or worse. There are no other exact aspects for the rest of the day, but there is likely a buzz building to release the closer we get to 1:54 AM ET on…
  • FRIDAY: …when Mercury meets up with chaos agent Uranus, challenging the status quo. This challenge may be more macho/provocative than a typical Mercury-Uranus conjunction because both planets are conjunct Capulus, a fixed star associated with blindness and defective eyesight. Hmm. Moon meets up with Saturn at 4:23 AM ET, suggesting a heavy focus may streamline your caffeinated buzz. Feelings about whatever surprise/revelation hit the wires several hours earlier may percolate, reflecting the Pisces Moon as it sextiles Uranus and Mercury at 1:36 PM ET and 3:19 PM ET. Moon meets up with Neptune at 10:54 PM ET, supporting some enchanted evening or other visionary or delusional escape.  Moon goes void for 34 minutes, then charges into me-me-me-first Aries at 11:28 PM ET. An Aries Moon needs to get things started and be appreciated for its pioneering initiative. This need is supported by three planets in Gemini and thus primed to deliver the news of the proposed New Deal, starting with Moon’s  sextile Jupiter at 1:57 AM ET on…
  • SATURDAY: ...which is now JUNE — and bustin’ out all over. Initiatives gain depth around 2:41 AM ET, as Moon sextiles Pluto. Moon sextiles Venus and the Sun at 6:15 PM ET and 7:34 PM ET. Moon then travels without interference for over 20 hours, building to a possible outburst of action/aggression around 6:03 PM ET on…
  • SUNDAY:…when Moon meets up with Mars. CHILL during the ensuing eight-hour Moon void. During the void, two other patterns color the evening. At 8:02 PM ET, Jupiter trines Pluto, suggesting an easy flow of communication among the Powers That Be. It’s quite possible that will we hear news and/or opinions (e.g., court rulings) impacting who has access to information, data, and communication. Some of what comes up now may be tied to matters that were seeded in 2020, when Jupiter met up with Pluto in Capricorn three times. Here’s what was going on in June 2020, the time of the second Jupiter-Pluto conjunction. Here’s what was happening in November 2020, the time of the third conjunction. How have these stories developed since then?
  • SUNDAY: This is the last full day of Mercury in Taurus, so news about building material comfort and security may be in overdrive, supported by the needs of the Moon, which enters Taurus at 1:54 AM on MONDAY.

Today is also my last full day of play in San Francisco, and my wonderful hosts have organized a trek to Sausalito and the Muir Woods. Thus, the news will be covered in the next forecast (later this week), along with more on what we can expect with Jupiter (big) now in Gemini (news, words). Here’s one article that popped up last week — so on point:
