Hi Elisabeth,
I just wanted to say thank you for your recent talk at the OPA , ‘Astrology in the News’. It was so fascinating. I’ve been learning astrology for a few years, but haven’t found it always easy to make the connections between the transits and what’s I see happening in the news. It’s seemed a bit hit and miss. But after your talk I started looking at the Guardian online each day, and wow – the headlines have consistently matched the major transits going on in a really direct and obvious way.
This is proving to be extremely helpful in my on-going learning, understanding the various possible real world expressions of the planetary archetypes and significations. Previously I used to look at the BBC and The Independent (I’m in the UK), but I don’t find that the headlines there seem to so obviously reflect the transits for some reason. I find that in itself really interesting, but I don’t have any answers as to why that might be. But the Guardian is spot on. Maybe the reporters there are more aligned with the stars haha:)
So thank you for sharing your insights and experiences with this, it’s making a difference for me in my own practise of astrology.
Best wishes
Helen

Empowered Astrology Conference
Saturday, October 22 & Sunday, October 23 — on Zoom!
Please join my colleagues Catherine Goshen, Pam Gregory, Hiroki Niizato, Kathy Rose, & Matthew Ouimet for two days of stellar lectures. We are all graduates of Noel Tyl’s masters course for professional astrologers. Our mission: to create an intimate, inspirational and educational forum for students of modern astrology.
I will be teaching this class on Sunday at 1 PM ET:
Turbo Astrology: Michael Moore & the Winning Campaign
In June 1972, high school senior Michael Moore won a seat on his local school board, making him the youngest person ever to hold elected office in Michigan. Using a modern psychological approach to Moore’s horoscope, we will review the 15 indispensable keys* to natal chart analysis. Knowing how to apply this keys efficiently enables the modern astrologer to prepare a meaningful consultation in 20 minutes. Call it “Turbo Astrology!” Transits and solar arcs that reflected Moore’s election win will be discussed in detail.
*with gratitude to astrologer Noel Tyl for developing this pioneering approach to horoscope analysis.

“When the Universe Says ‘YES’! — Horary Questions that Inspired Success”
When your client is feeling anxious about a desired outcome but summons the courage to ask a horary about its potential, a “YES!” in the horary chart can be a powerful motivator. In this talk, we’ll cover the basics of horary analysis, using two cases from my own experience that led to success. True confession: I might not have tried if the horary had not been positive. YES, a horary made me do it!

“Where Do We Start? The Power of First Impressions!”
Signs, houses, aspects, planets, midpoints, progressions, transits: the horoscope has hundreds of parts! So much data can be overwhelming to beginning astrologers. Knowing where to start allows us to be efficient in our analysis. In this presentation, we will start with what’s obvious: the hemisphere emphasis of the horoscope! We will discuss the significance of each hemisphere — North, South, East, and West — and how to discuss them in ways that are meaningful and empowering to your clients. We will see in case studies how the statement made by hemisphere emphasis is repeated throughout the horoscope.

“Jane Austen: Horoscope of a Lady”
It is a truth universally acknowledged (among members of a certain literary society), that Jane Austen left her fans and scholars wanting more! Join us on Zoom for a fresh analysis of Jane’s personality, life experience and legacy — as seen in the patterns of her horoscope. Consulting astrologer Elisabeth Grace will explain how horoscopes work, and how we can use Jane’s horoscope to understand more about why she was the way she was and why things happened in her life when they did. Grace’s presentation was a hit at the Eastern PA JASNA region’s celebration of Jane’s 244th birthday last year. This encore presentation includes new insights on specific events in Jane’s life.

The marketing department at ClassPass asked me to create a fun and informative 90-minute workshop. Here’s what they learned:
- What is astrology and how does it work (like how your Co-Star app is able to say things that are true and meaningful about you, based on what’s going on in your horoscope)
- Astro-basics: Sun, Moon and Ascendant
- Big patterns of 2020
- Retrograde planets — what do they mean?
- Sneak peek at 2021
- Using astrology as a tool for guidance — i.e., improving relationships, picking a time to do something, answering burning questions
- Everyone in the group provided birth data and learned where the Moon was in their horoscopes — and why this is important
