THE
I am a reporter with a unique beat. I use my understanding of planetary cycles to provide advance notice and analysis on the Zeitgeist of the day. If you have ever wondered “why is this happening now,” my insights will transform your experience of the headlines, adding new meaning and understanding. Call it Astrology for News Junkies. If you’re curious to know why the Impossible Burger is trending…or why the outcome of the 2019 Israeli elections was likely to be a shocker …or why “Woodrow Wilson, Stud Muffin” was a New York Times headline in December 2013, you will find it here, in over a decade’s worth of historical research and reporting.
Note that I do use astrological jargon in The Forecast in my effort to show how the planetary patterns are reflected in mundane events. I explain what the jargon symbolizes, so that all who want to understand the connections between astrology and the news may do so. However, I do not use astrological jargon in personal consultations, just plain English.
Astro-logical Forecast for Tuesday 10/25/2011: Hints of a New Moon…
/in The ForecastMore of the same from yesterday: a relationship-oriented, cerebral Moon in Libra seeks appreciation and balance…but if it’s a new agenda you’d like to discuss, the New Moon on Wednesday (not Tuesday, as I mistakenly typed yesterday) is a more favorable time to launch it.
Wrap things up and shake off any restlessness or listlessness with something physical: a walk or a workout, with or without a partner. Take note of the following, suggested by soon-to-be-exact planetary patterns, which will set the tone for the month when the New Moon is exact at 3:56PM tomorrow: intense idealism, highly-charged attraction or conflict, especially between the sexes, and a spotlight on expanding resources, which can be good for business. Is that why corporate earnings this quarter have been relatively positive (over 68% of companies reporting so far are up). Hmmm….
Also anticipated this week: news from underground, related to nuclear power, radiation, mines, quakes — and here’s what I’ve noticed so far: our most powerful nuclear bomb is being dismantled http://news.yahoo.com/uss-most-powerful-nuclear-bomb-being-dismantled-071325260.html; mammograms (a.k.a. “slammo-grams”) are reassessed http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/10/24/mammograms-role-as-savior-is-tested/?ref=todayspaper and Caterpillar, a company heavily invested in mining dominates the market on Tuesday http://www.cnbc.com/id/44991429 And while I’m on the CNBC website, here’s a piece by yet another author/expert pointing out the similarity between our current economy and the 1930s http://www.cnbc.com/id/45026897 One day maybe we’ll see an astrologer on a network news program confirming that yes, indeed, there is a striking similarity between planetary patterns we have now…and patterns then.
Astro-logical Forecast for Monday 10/24/2011: Pink Floyd Again
/in The ForecastA potentially slow start to the morning, especially on the East Coast, suggested by the Moon being void of course in the perfectionist sign of Virgo (4:47PM ET Sunday until 11:49AM ET today). If you’ve been chillin’ since Sunday evening, good for you. As I write, Game 4 of the World Series is underway, and given that the Moon is void, chances of an upset by the underdog team are increased. I haven’t been following the Series, but I believe the underdog team might be the Rangers. Right now they are ahead. We’ll see what happens…
Speaking of Moon voids, here they are for the rest of the work week: 8:19 – 11:08AM ET on Wednesday; 7:49-10:45AM ET on Friday.
Today Moon enters the people-pleasing sign of Libra at 11:49AM ET, though a few jolts, flashes of insights and/or power plays may well materialize in the afternoon and early evening, suggested by challenges to the Moon from our favorite planetary heavies, ruthless Pluto and disruptive Uranus. What’s really important to note about today’s Moon is that we are now in the dark side of the lunar cycle. The New Moon in Scorpio happens at 3:56PM ET on Wednesday…so until then, it’s appropriate to wrap up your agenda from the current cycle and be patient with whatever feelings of restlessness or listlessness you have, knowing that something new is just around the corner. You could also listen to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dark_Side_of_the_Moon
Other news to catch up on: wasn’t it interesting that Barack Obama’s announcement on Friday that all troops would be brought home from Iraq coincided with a glorious trine from “rose-tint my world” Neptune and the Sun in conflict-avoiding Libra? Peace out!
Astro-logical Forecast for Thursday 10/20/2011: Party On, Dude…
/in The ForecastWriting this as Moon is void of course in Cancer, but by the time you wake up, it’ll be fully engaged in the proud, playful sign of Leo — at 6:06AM ET, to be exact. You could be rarin’ to go, perhaps on some innovative idea or connection you’ve just made…and the further we get into the day, the more optimistic (plus side) or grandiose (possible down side) it gets. I say this because the Moon in Leo suggests a need to be loved and adored — and it’ll be challenged by expansive, sometimes excessive Jupiter at 5:37PM ET. This sets the tone for a potentially festive evening — big time.
Check out yesterday’s forecast for thoughts on Friday’s exact trine (harmonious connection) between Sun and “rose-tint my world” Neptune; it’s been in effect for the whole week. If your party tonight involves intangibles such as music, rarefied art, film, spirit and healing, for gawd’s sake, send me an invitation.
Astro-logical Forecast for Wednesday 10/19/2011: The End of the World. Not.
/in The ForecastWater, water everywhere…well at least here in New York and other parts East. Go with the flow & gracefully adjust to any structural adjustment, serious focus or wet blanket that may be tossed at you around lunchtime ET. If you’re feeling a urge to merge with a higher consciousness or escape into some other rarefied, intangible state (music, spirit or drug-induced fantasy), then you are in tune with the patterns suggested by nebulous Neptune in harmonious contact with the Sun (life force), an aspect which is exact on Friday. It’s a nice aspect to have if you’re trying to keep the peace. It’s also a potential set-up for an illusion that does not prove to be real.
Remember that Family Radio Guy who predicted the world would end on May 21, 2011 — a day notable for its abundance of Neptunian, “rose-tint my world” glow (I wrote about this around May 21st, if you feel like digging up the prior forecast — and I can’t remember his name)http://www.ebiblefellowship.com/outreach/tracts/may21/ Well, anyway, that didn’t happen, and many people who’d sold all their material goods in preparation for the Rapture (another Neptunian state of being), were disappointed. Isn’t it interesting that Family Radio Guy would re-schedule the end of the world on yet another day with nebulous Neptune pulling focus? I predict the world will not end on the October 21st either, and that those who are looking for a greater connection with spirit might find it at any one of the many Occupy (Your City Here) gatherings over the weekend. Pass the marshmallows around the campfire, please — but do be careful if your gathering happens to going on in Greece ; )
Astro-logical Forecast for 10/18/2011: What’s In That Pipeline?
/in The ForecastIf you happen to wake up in a particularly cranky mood — or have to deal with someone else who did, an intense challenge to the Moon (in the sensitive sign of Cancer ) from power-driven Pluto may well be the planetary pattern to point at. What you — or the other parties — do with your crankiness — or supersensitivity — or a desire for deep emotional expression, is up to you. One option is to take a breath and look forward to the rest of the day unfolding with the potential for lovely, optimistic forms of social expression, with a bit of loony humor added, too. Could a dose of domestic bliss be added to your evening plans?
Meanwhile, I’ve been anticipating headlines about energy resources hitting towards the end of the week and into next week, especially with regard to oil/gas. In fact, two big deals — big, as in optimistic and possibly excessive — hit within the past 48 hours (perhaps Friday’s exuberant Venus-Jupiter opposition just couldn’t wait). Here’s one: http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2011/10/17/a-pipeline-merger-meets-a-need-and-perhaps-resistance/ and here’s the other http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204346104576636643736228236.html
Happy reading — and enjoy the day!
