I am a reporter with a unique beat. I use my understanding of planetary cycles to provide advance notice and analysis on the Zeitgeist of the day. Note that I do use astrological jargon in The Forecast in my effort to show how the planetary patterns are reflected in mundane events. I explain what the jargon symbolizes, so that all who want to understand the connections between astrology and the news may do so. However, I do not use astrological jargon in personal consultations, just plain English.

Compelled to share a few news items I found delightfully in synch with planetary patterns — a bonus for the holiday weekend — huzzah!

The first one refers to the Sabian Symbol for Monday’s New Moon. Here are excerpts from Monday’s forecast:

The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon — at 20 degrees of Aquarius — is “a big white dove, a message bearer”. As usual we turn to Sabian Symbol guru Blaine Bovee for additional insight, who notes this image is “one of communication borne by a creature of the sky; a peaceful message from a heavenly source.” Interestingly, he also notes that that “white” is seen when light is reflected “without sensible impression of the visible rays of the color spectrum”….

How are we to apply this Symbol? What might we see reflected in the headlines? On the upside, Bovee suggests “genius that finds the sacred everywhere…listening for unique language; messages of relief precipitated by intense, burning reverence…”

How interesting that one of yesterday’s meaningful headlines was the confirmation that gravitational waves have absolutely, positively been detected — and heard! Listen to their “unique language” — it’s like a heartbeat. Consider how cool it is

that scientists have finally tapped into the deepest register of physical reality, where the weirdest and wildest implications of Einstein’s universe become manifest.

Here is a wonderful NYT op-ed explaining why this confirmation (it was hinted at a few weeks ago; I almost linked it) is so significant. Here’s a fun piece in which several scientists attempt to explain gravitational waves in terms a five-year-old can understand. If you’ve been reading this forecast for at least two years, you’re no stranger to gravitational waves. I linked an aptly-timed piece about primordial gravitational waves here in March 2014.

Meanwhile, remember when I wrote that people with planets around 16-19 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo & Aquarius and/or 16-18 degrees of Aries, Libra, Capricorn and Cancer were more likely to be affected by last weekend’s heavy patterns among Venus, Mars, Uranus and Pluto? Filmmaker Michael Moore falls into that category. When I glanced at his horoscope last month, here’s what I wrote:

Toxins in the water came to a head last week in Flint, Michigan. Gov. Rick Snyder declared a state of emergency nearly two years after an apparent cost-cutting measure poisoned the city’s water. Flint native Michael Moore penned a sharp letter outlining the situation, calling for Governor Snyder’s arrest. How interesting to note that in Mr. Moore’s horoscope, his Jupiter is being squared by transiting Jupiter right now — like Sean Penn. Transiting Uranus and Pluto are supercharging his natal Mercury-Uranus square. We’d expect an intense buzz in mindset and communication all last fall and into the spring, suggested by other patterns — helpful if you’re promoting a new film (which he is).

I wrote about Mr. Moore’s horoscope in 2012, focusing on the time he was elected to the local school board at age eighteen. Looking at his horoscope now, 2013 and 2014 looked like challenging years for him personally, starting with his second Saturn return. There were other challenging measurements, too — and for Mr. Moore, the outcome was a divorce.

Michael Moore has his Mercury at 17 Aries, squaring Uranus at 19 Cancer and the Nodal Axis at 18 Cancer. He needs to be a provocative thinker who leads an innovative crusade. His mindset needs to be ahead of its time! Mercury-Uranus contacts suggest a quirky sense of humor. Ted Cruz has Mercury square Uranus, too — but those not in those signs. Isn’t that interesting? Cruz is known for his sharp mind and disruptive communication style, as well as a need for quirky humor, as his latest campaign ads might suggest. Cruz has Venus at 17 Scorpio and Saturn at 16 Taurus — also influenced by last week’s provocative Mars transits. What could happen? Turns out that a soft-core porn actress (transiting Mars to Venus in sexy Scorpio) had been cast in that ad, and once that became known, the ad had to be pulled. So frustrating (transiting Mars to Saturn)!

Back to Michael Moore:

His horoscope has had exact hits from Uranus, Mercury and Venus in recent days. Transiting Uranus exactly squared his Mercury on Feb 2nd. So his need to be a provocateur has been all fired up. He has a 16 degree regal Leo Ascendant, which was hit by transiting Mars at 16 Scorpio on Feb 4th. Let the record show that the Ascendant is one of the health centers of the horoscope, and that when Mars hits the Ascendant, health concerns are not uncommon. This all happened against the background hum of a pattern called a solar arc between Neptune and Jupiter, exact on February 6th.

A solar arc is a long-term pattern — in effect for a few months before and after its exact hit. Neptune refers to film, healing, water, toxins and….infection! Jupiter refers to…expansion! And we must keep in mind that Jupiter squared Mr. Moore’s natal Jupiter last month, too. He’s been in an expansive mode…and perhaps pushed beyond comfortable limits.

On January 31st, at the end of that month’s supercharged Mercury madness, Mr. Moore was admitted to the ICU of a NY hospital with pneumonia. It is often the case that particularly explosive transits will manifest a couple of days before they are exact. The timing of the illness was especially frustrating, as it forced him to cancel two weeks of interviews and PR work promoting his new film, “Where to Invade Next”. So what did he do? Using supercharged technology (social media), he launched an innovative PR campaign, reaching out to his fan base, asking them to spread the word on his behalf. Here is one of the posts. The film opens today. I expect we’ll hear more from Mr. Moore over the next couple of days, as transiting Mars is about to make contact with his Venus-Pluto square at 23 Taurus and 22 Leo, respectively. His social expression and values need to have depth of perspective and emotion. And yes, sometimes he might use a sledgehammer when a little mallet might do.

I once had the opportunity to meet Michael Moore — must have been in 2004. An acquaintance invited me to attend an event for Dennis Kucinich, who was then running for president. I did not know much about Mr. Kucinich at that time, but it sounded interesting. The event was at the home of a famous artist. It was a little overwhelming, as there were a few celebrities among the guests, along with maybe 30 or 40 others. And Mr. Moore.

I can be quite a reserved person in some social situations (thank you, Capricorn Ascendant), and I found myself wrestling with an impulse to walk across the room where Mr. Moore was standing. Finally I summed up my courage. He was surrounded by about eight other people all trying to sell him something. Seriously — and it was an event to support someone else! One person had even brought drawings of whatever great project he was envisioning — what chutzpah, for better or worse. I stood there for several minutes listening, and thinking to myself that there might be definite drawbacks to being a celebrity, especially one who is perceived as Someone Who Has Some Power to Make Things Happen. Of course Michael Moore would need to make things happen, with his Moon and Mars closerthanthis in enterprising Capricorn.

Finally the man with the drawings finished his pitch and Mr. Moore looked at me. “Errm…” I said, not really knowing what I was going to say. “I’m Elisabeth Grace. And I’m not here to tell you about a project or show you drawings or ask for your help”.

A brief pause, as perhaps Mr. Moore wondered, “Well what IS she here to do?” So I continued, along the lines of, “I saw you here and I’ve always admired your work. And I just had to come over to tell you, because when will I get the chance again….so I just had to come over and say THANK YOU. For doing what you do. And that what you do makes an impact — on all kinds of people, even though you may not realize it. Your work matters.

“For example,” I pushed on, naming a few examples, including “…that series you did called TV Nation — that was awesome! Like the segment when you went to Washington and tried to get the ambassadors from Serbia and Croatia to MAKE PEACE OVER PIZZA…it was brilliant and so funny — who could forget that?”

“Thank you,” said Mr. Moore.

And then I said (because like Marco Rubio, I’ve been known to repeat myself), “I just needed to say this to you,” not knowing what else to say.

“Thank you,” he said again…and he might have added “That’s very kind”. Then he definitely asked, “What was your name?”

“Elisabeth Grace.”

“Elisabeth Grace,” he said. “Elisabeth Grace.”

Then I wandered off, and later that evening, an older woman tapped me on the shoulder and told me how much she appreciated what I had said to Mr. Moore, and that it had meant a lot to him. Now it was my turn to be surprised. I did not know who the woman was, though I suppose it must have been his wife.

Funny how often “you teach best what you need to learn” — which is one of the pithy sayings in The Messiah’s Handbook from Richard Bach’s novel, Illusions. Amazing to imagine that our thoughts and actions could continue to ripple through space and time, much like those gravitational waves, even though we are unaware of their reach. I had an uplifting encounter with a fellow human being almost twelve years ago. That human being’s simple appreciation has rippled outward. Now I’m carrying it further by sharing and inviting you to see his latest movie.

Astro-logical Forecast for Thursday 2/11/2016 & the Holiday Weekend

Alll-righty then!

I trust you are relying on Monday’s forecast for guidance on planetary patterns for the week. Thus you may be aware that as of 4:55AM ET, the Moon will be charging through me-me-me Aries, seeking to lead and inspire…and possibly falling down stairs because it’s faster than walking. There are no exact aspects among the planets on Thursday, but on Friday in the wee hours leading up to 8 and 10AM ET, we may feel the action supercharged. Why? Because the Moon will make its weekly clash with Pluto and Uranus. That’ll get you out of bed — or put something interesting in the headlines, such as an upset or power play.

The dust should settle by evening, when Moon is in harmony with the friendly Aquarius Sun at 8:10PM ET. Social indulgence soon follows, as Moon is challenged by Venus at 10:15PM ET.

On Saturday, that settled dust may take on a more solid form, as the Moon enters Taurus, seeking to build and maintain material comfort and security. There’s no Moon void to deter your efforts to acquire comforts at the local mall, so shop away. Mercury enters Aquarius at 5:43PM ET, putting our collective mindset in wonky/rocket scientist mode. There’s plenty of energy for a blast off in the evening, suggested by an easy connection between physical Mars in tenacious Scorpio and Jupiter in Virgo at 5:59PM ET. There’s your extra stamina, should you need it, perhaps to be applied to your vision for a rose-colored escape later, suggested by an easy flow between Moon and dreamy Neptune at 9:37PM ET.

Valentine’s Day dawns with emotional depth, courtesy of a nice flow between the sensual Taurus Moon and potent Pluto at 10:27AM ET. Your VD soiree begins generously enough, suggested by a boost to the Moon from expansive Jupiter at 6:13PM ET. One hour later, opposites may attract or sparks may fly, suggested by a face-off between Moon and provocative Mars. Sleep on it and wake up sweetly, thanks to harmony between the Moon and Venus at 5:54AM ET on MONDAY.

Your Presidents Day/Big Giant Mattress Sale Monday is driven by the Moon in chatty Gemini, where it will buzz at 9:35AM ET. Talk, talk, talk — and more talk…to be continued back at work on Tuesday. There’s no Moon void you can use as an excuse for sleeping in.

And now, the news.

Ooh ooh ooh — this is just hitting the wires — something I’ve been anticipating all week is happening now in Oregon: “FBI Agents Encircle Holdouts in Oregon Refuge”. I’ve been thinking Mercury was at 0 degrees Aquarius on January 2nd, about to turn retrograde. And this is when the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge was taken over. After doing its retrograde thing, Mercury will be back at 0 Aquarius on February 13th. I’ve been thinking this malheur should be concluded by then. Malheur is French for “tragedy; adversity; misfortune”. Apt, isn’t it?

Last weekend was dominated by Venus and Mars, with the former making contact with rebel Uranus and power-oriented Pluto. Here’s what caught my eye in the headlines. Exhibit A: “At One Modeling Agency, Nonconformity is Key” — check out these male models. Ooh — and look: Male models Derek and Hans are back in “Zoolander 2”. Exhibit B: “Wanted in China: More Male Teachers, to Make Boys Men”; “Courses in Manhood for African-American Boys”

On the fem side, Gloria Steinem and Madeleine Albright made headlines by “scolding” young women for favoring Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton. “There’s a special place in Hell for women who do not support other women,” Ms. Albright was quoted as saying. She said that years ago, btw. Ms. Steinem said that young women were flocking to Bernie to get dates. Controversy ensued, in synch with planetary patterns. NYT columnist Gail Collins offers this fresh take. Meanwhile, I wish more airtime had been given to this item — yet another study demonstrating that companies with women in leadership positions post higher profits, even if that study doesn’t necessarily apply to Carly Fiorina. (Ms. Fiorina ended her White House bid yesterday, so you don’t have to worry about going to Hell for not supporting her).

Let’s see…no surprise that Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump won Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, astrologically speaking. Fascinating to see how the potential for an upset in Hillary Clinton’s horoscope — noted here a few months ago — is playing out. This week the FBI finally officially confirmed its ongoing investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s emails.

If you’re tired of hearing about Mrs. Clinton’s damn emails, perhaps you will prefer another political/legal drama going on in Pennsylvania, where Attorney General Kathleen Kane is apparently now facing impeachment. She’s been disbarred, but refuses to step down. Remember how I mentioned that people with planets around 16 – 19 degrees of Taurus and Scorpio were likely to be more personally impacted by last weekend’s volatility? Ms. Kane falls into this category.

Finally, on Wednesday AM there was a lovely connection between Venus and Jupiter. Venus refers to sugar and Jupiter refers to expansion. How sweet that Coca-Cola reported profits which topped Wall Street’s expectations.

Astro-logical Forecast for Monday 2/8/2016: New Moon in Aquarius; Sneak Peek at the Week

Good Morning!

The New Moon in Aquarius began at 9:39AM ET, offering us an opportunity to re-set intentions and goals for the next lunar cycle. Around February 15th, on the First Quarter Moon, we can expect a challenge to those goals, with appropriate adjustments made. At the time of the Full Moon on the 22nd, we can expect illumination on the success or failure of our goals for the cycle. If we succeeded, we can consciously release our success into our reality; if we failed, we let go of whatever did not work. After the Third Quarter Moon on March 1st, we can review our achievements, tie up loose ends and get ready to begin another New Moon cycle on March 8th (which will also be an eclipse, FYI).

Aquarius is a airy (mental), fixed (organizing) energy. Where Leo, its opposing sign, is concerned with personal creative expression and recognition, Aquarius needs to focus on the expression needs of a particular group or group consciousness. For some reason John Stuart Mill and his idea of doing “the greatest good for the greatest number” pops into my head, even though Mr. Mill had no planets in Aquarius. He was a practical yet visionary Taurus, with Mercury and Mars in easy alignment with Jupiter in earthy Capricorn. We’d expect him to walk his talk, and he had plenty of provocative things to say, still relevant nearly 200 years year later. We humans are slow learners, in spite of our whiz-bang technology.

Keywords for Aquarius include innovation, eccentricity, friendship, humanitarian, unconventional, rocket scientist and/or mad genius. If you were born with the Sun in Aquarius, you have the energy to innovate and intellectualize with others. If your Moon is in Aquarius, you need to be socially significant — and dare I say appreciated for it.

The chart for this New Moon has Uranus, ruler of Aquarius in a cooperative connection with the Sun and Moon, suggesting innovative, status quo-disrupting ideas affecting the masses are likely to be key throughout this lunar cycle. With Saturn (old guard) in alignment with Uranus (avant garde), we can expect these ideas to attempt to re-invent the wheel. That applies in your own personal world, too — especially if your horoscope has a planet or angle around 20 degrees of Aquarius — and to some extent Leo, Taurus and Scorpio. Color blind? Hmmm. Politically, Bovee notes that white is a “conservative” color — as opposed to the “fiery” hue of “radical inclinations”. Spiritually, Bovee associates white with “purity”. And then, just to confuse everyone, he notes that “white” can in fact be burning — as in “white-hot”…or cool, refreshing and pure as the driven snow.

How are we to apply this Symbol? What might we see reflected in the headlines? On the upside, Bovee suggests “genius that finds the sacred everywhere…listening for unique language; messages of relief precipitated by intense, burning reverence”. Also to the upside: “a strong sense of community”. On the down side: intense extremes…and “affinities for a host of world-religion motifs”. However it manifests, I hope we’ve seen the end of the long list of beloved music greats who took their leave last month, beginning with David Bowie. That seemed to be an eerie but apt reflection of last month’s New Moon Sabian Symbol, “a hidden choir singing”.

As an eternal optimist, this month I will glom on to the part about messages of relief and a strong sense of community, so true to the spirit of a New Moon in Aquarius. The “messages” theme is echoed by Mercury (mind, communication), which will be back at 0 degrees of Aquarius on February 13th, which is where it turned retrograde on January 5th. So by the end of the week, we should be back up to speed, having integrated whatever deep review we went through in January, with special attention paid to the revelations that came to light during the last week of the month. Got that? FYI, Sarah Palin’s Mercury is 0 degrees Aquarius. Perhaps she’ll have a message for us later this week, too.

More on today and the rest of the week. The Aquarius New Moon went immediately void (9:39AM ET), offering us an opportunity to chill and ready our intentions for launch once the Moon is fully engaged in Pisces. That happens at 3:31AM ET on TUESDAY, when the only exact aspect we’ll have is a meet-up with visionary Neptune at 6:03PM ET. A day to go with a sensitive, focused flow?

If you think of the Moon as a pinball bouncing off bumpers (which symbolize the other planets) in an-old-fashioned pinball machine, Wednesday’s pinball Moon bounces six times through the day, before falling back to the bottom of the machine for a reload. Translation: higher potential for a faster pace and more action. The time it take for the pinball to reach the bottom of the machine corresponds to the duration of the Moon void. Can you appreciate how the energy of the falling pinball is different that when it bounces with direction and force off of the bumpers? Wednesday’s void begins at 11:25PM ET; it ends at 4:55AM ET, when the Moon races into Aries, driven by a need to lead and inspire.

Also on Wednesday — at 2:54AM ET — Venus (love, women, money, values, social expression, aesthetics), after being supercharged over the weekend, gets a little boost from expansive Jupiter. Many astrologers might say that a harmonious aspect between the two planets traditionally associated with good fortune is peachy keen-o. If you have a planet around 22 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn or Taurus, let us know how the day flows.

My plan is to recap the news in a post later tonight or tomorrow. Lots of fun stories to share. Oh — all right — here’s one to savor until I can pull the rest of them together. I confess I did not watch the debates among either party’s candidates over the weekend. But I did note the write-ups and I especially noticed this video showing the awkward, flaky, spaced-out start of the Republican debate on Saturday. Watch it, and — quick — what planetary patterns immediately come to mind? If you answer “Moon void! Strong Neptune!” then I am very proud of you. That’s what I thought before I even looked at the chart for Saturday, February 6th at 8PM in Manchester, NH. And indeed, the Moon was void — and Neptune was in an obsessive-compulsive relationship with an important angle of the chart. Isn’t that fun?

Other patterns add to the potential for an implosive debut. Apparently the debate was quite combative, aptly reflecting the witchy-bitchy potential suggested by planetary patterns. I did not take the time to see how the patterns were impacting the horoscopes of the debate contenders.

Astro-logical Forecast for Friday 2/5/2016 & the Weekend: Venus and Mars in the Hot Seat

What a weekend we have in store, especially if your horoscope is personally impacted by the potent patterns as of Friday through Sunday. The Moon is still in Capricorn, where it has been on an enterprising mission as of 7:44PM ET Thursday night. As noted in an earlier forecast:

See if you notice an intensification of emotion as Venus (women, money, aesthetics, social expression) meets up with Pluto on Friday at 8:12PM ET. Markets may be volatile. Women may take no prisoners. Venus-Pluto aspects can cut to the quick and/or the chase in relationships, and the scenario this weekend suggests the latter.

Cuts in the news include Twitter cutting 125, 000 accounts belonging to “extremists”…and France cutting the “i” out of “oignon,” along with streamlining the spelling of 200 other words. Sacre bleu!

Night owls may be feeling supercharged during the wee hours on Saturday, as the Moon makes its weekly clash with Pluto and Uranus at 1:01AM ET and 2:52AM ET. It also makes contact with the personal planets: Mercury, Venus and Mars — all before 10:39AM ET, before going void at 10:54AM ET until 12:59AM ET on SUNDAY. On Saturday, be advised that:

Venus is super-charged by unconventional Uranus on Saturday at 5:03PM ET, blasting through social norms and challenging you to consider an attraction outside your usual box — or set yourself free from an attraction that binds you. Or at least clear the air. The Sun will be in harmony with Uranus, and mental Mercury is likely to reflect plenty of big communication drives as it aligns with Jupiter.

With the Moon void on Saturday, we have an argument for experimentation (without consequences for actions taken), or an argument that blows up into more of a crisis than it really is.

On Sunday, the Moon will be in humanitarian Aquarius, looking to hang with all its friends at the nearest Super Bowl fiesta. The game kicks off around 3:35PM in San Francisco in the aftermath of a dynamic challenge between Sun and Mars at 7:08AM ET, followed by a communicative alignment between the genders (Mars and Venus), no matter what gender you and your significant other may be. What will you have learned about the State of Your Union by Monday, is what I’m wondering. These patterns are suitable for a physical workout, for better or for worse. This includes any large release of energy — watch the headlines for items such as significant quakes, structural collapses.…and with Mars in the mix — war, guns, etc., such as “North Korea may be ready to launch a rocket by Super Bowl Sunday”. Really — not Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday.

Meanwhile, I’m putting my fifty cents on the Panthers.

You are more personally impacted by the weekend’s potent patterns if you have a planet or angle around 16-18 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer and especially Capricorn…and if you have planets or angles around 16-19 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and especially Scorpio.

We’ll have a New Moon on Monday at 9:39AM ET in Aquarius, after a provocative challenge between the Moon and Mars at 8:37AM ET. Make-up sex after a volatile weekend…or someone may be waking up in foul mood. The Moon will be void right after the New Moon until 3:31AM ET on TUESDAY…sounds like a day to chill, focus on routine, meditate on your list of New Moon intentions.

I leave you now with a Moon void twist that happened on Thursday — to a custodian at a restaurant in San Diego. He arrived at work to discover an 8-month old sea lion curled up in a booth. Of course it made headlines…

Astro-logical Forecast for Thursday 2/4/2016

The boundary-pushing Moon in Sagittarius is challenged even further by contact with expansive Jupiter at 5:04AM ET. A big idea bogged down by details? Can’t see the forest for the trees? What wandering adventure will your mind embark upon, given that the Moon will be void thereafter until 7:44PM ET?

Regular readers know that Moon voids suggest a time to focus on routine concerns, while being prepared to roll with whatever twists and flakes deter your efforts to move forward in a straight line. I don’t know about you, but to me, time often feels like it flows more slowly during voids. Sometimes it feels downright meditative — an opportunity to seize if you’re a meditating type.

Moon voids suggest a higher probability of surprise upsets. Here’s an example. Did you hear about the grand jury in Texas that was supposed to investigate allegations that Planned Parenthood was illegally selling fetal tissue? Last Monday, when Mercury turned direct and the Moon was void all day, the grand jury cleared Planned Parenthood and instead indicted two of the people who made the undercover videos. Surprise, surprise.

I’d argue that Mercury being supercharged by Pluto and Uranus a few days beforehand was also reflected in that grand jury decision. More on that in a minute.

At 7:44PM ET, Moon enters earthy Capricorn, looking to make things happen. Enough of the high-flying progressive ideas; the need is to get things done. Where have we heard that before?

And now, a bit of news.

Speaking of progressive and getting things done, how cool was it that the Sagittarius Moon was in harmony with futuristic Uranus at 7:58PM ET last night, when Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders were making headlines by talking about those very subjects?

Over the past two weeks, Mercury supercharged by erratic Uranus and persuasive Pluto suggested the potential for seriously fringe thinking and dirt dug up. Add to this pattern a triple-dose of bombastic bewilderment, suggested by an obsessive-compulsive connection between nebulous Neptune and Jupiter. It was positively stupefying see Rapper BoB’s insistence that the Earth is flat-out flat making headlines.

Jupiter also refers to law and lawyers. When in touch with Neptune, legal matters may be foggy or shady. Exhibit A concerns some undercover videos perhaps showing how some US lawyers might make it easier for clients wishing to make certain investments with “suspect funds”. Exhibit B would be the announcement last month of a crack down against foreign investors purchasing luxury Manhattan real estate with “dirty money”.

Neptune refers to viruses, water and poison. It refers to faith, empathy and charity. It refers to victims, suffering and the sublime. It refers to spirits of all kinds. It refers to music, film and other intangible arts. When Neptune is in touch with Jupiter, we see the potential for expansion in Neptunian concerns.

Dominant stories in the news in recent days include the poisoned water scandal in Flint, Michigan (and possibly other cities); the expanded reach of the Zika virus (including here in the U.S.). Shades of Neptune-Jupiter reflected therein, as well as in this item Avid Reader Paula sent me about the E.coli outbreaks (Neptune) plaguing Chipotle (Jupiter in Virgo — food), with extra-special allegations of especially underhanded activity. Frankly, every headline on the above-linked webpage reflects an arguably obsessive Jupiter-Neptune theme!

Note the recent developments in the Zika virus story. We have a case of it being sexually transmitted in the U.S. The virus is especially harmful when contracted by pregnant women, and this may spark a new debate in Brazil, where abortion is illegal “under most circumstances”. It’s interesting to see these stories break during a week in which sexy Mars (men) and Venus (women) are so supercharged. And how about this one that just hit the NYT homepage: “Pentagon to Offer Plan to Store Troops’ Eggs and Sperm”.
