Astro-logical Forecast for Tuesday 2/2/2016: Iowa Upsets, As Anticipated
Alll-righty then!
Take care of routine concerns and roll with the upsets, twists and the flakes which may continue into this morning. Once the Scorpio Moon shifts gears into Sagittarius at 10:50AM ET, the sky’s the limit in your plans for world domination. A Sagittarius Moon needs to push boundaries and express its righteous opinion, whether you asked for it or not. Over the next couple of days, consider ways to walk your talk, as planetary patterns noted in yesterday’s forecast suggest an easy flow of constructive energy is yours to apply. Walk!
Speaking of upsets and voids and such, headlines are blazing with upsets favoring the underdogs in Iowa. Ted Cruz dealt Donald Trump “a humbling loss”. Given how Senator Cruz has been targeting a certain religious demographic — and made a point to visit all 99 counties in Iowa, perhaps that’s not so surprising, but it was to plenty of pollsters. Then again, Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee each won a caucus in Iowa many moons ago — and neither went on to win a national election. It probably did not help that Mr. Trump went to church on Sunday and mistakenly tried to put money into a communion plate, thinking it was a collection plate. Still, Mr. Trump’s horoscope is hot. Perhaps Iowa is just Iowa, stubbornly so. FYI, here’s how the Iowa caucuses differ from other state primaries, as presented by Legos in this helpful video. Stay tuned for the New Hampshire primary on February 9th.
Meanwhile, it’s almost 2AM and the race between predicted front-runner Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders is still too close to call, even with 99% of precincts reporting. I’d call that an upset…and to file under “flakes” and “twists, let the record show that six precincts reportedly settled voting disputes between Clinton and Sanders supporters with a coin toss….with Team Clinton apparently winning every one of those six tosses. Now, several hours later, one might appreciate why Bernie Sanders is asking the Democratic Party to release the raw vote count.
As an astrologer with a passion for writing about the news, I am thrilled by Bernie Sanders’ strong showing. It reflects the supercharged potential noted in his horoscope — even without a known birth time — back in May. I’ve been writing about people who make headlines for almost seven years now, long enough to see certain patterns in their horoscopes. If Senator Sanders had discussed his goals with me back then, I would have encouraged him to make the effort. But before he mentioned them, I would have asked him about the reach for ambition suggested in his horoscope in 2015, along with the intensified need to be a pioneer and/or an inspiring leader that is strongly suggested through 2016. What efforts was he planning to make to fulfill these needs?
A year ago I could have asked Donald Trump why his horoscope suggested such a strong need for executive authority and ego recognition — bigger than the level he’s already achieved — YUGE, even. What efforts was he planning in 2015 and 2016? Making the effort is key! If you do not make an effort to realize the potential of planetary patterns in the horoscope, not much is likely to happen! As my mentor loves loves loves to say, “Planets don’t do anything. PEOPLE do!”
It helps that Sanders’ “revolutionary” agenda is in synch with the game-changing potential of current planetary patterns; i.e., reflected in every article written about how angry people are with the “Establishment”. Same with Mr. Trump. Outsiders are in; the Establishment is out…but not without a fight. It is up to US to collectively choose which will ultimately prevail. Robert Reich wrote last week that Hillary Clinton is
…the most qualified candidate for president of the political system we now have.
But Bernie Sanders is the most qualified candidate to create the political system we should have, because he’s leading a political movement for change.
The need for change is what we collectively now have the opportunity to act upon, strongly suggested by the Mother of All Planetary Patterns, the seven series of Uranus-Pluto squares happening between 2011 and 2016. They offer us a chance to build on the revolutionary seeds planted at the Uranus-Pluto conjunctions of 1965 and 1966, as explained many times in this forecast over the past five years — search and you will find. It is fascinating to see Robert Reich reflect planetary patterns so perfectly, given that Mr. Reich appears to be no great fan of astrology. It is also fascinating to see a recent Sanders campaign ad with images synched to “America,” the song written by Paul Simon in those revolutionary 60s. Smart, savvy and perfectly-timed.
So what about Hillary Clinton? Whether she was born at 8:02AM or 8PM, her horoscope suggests a potential disruption in career and status concerns, in effect now and exact towards the end of March, as noted in an earlier forecast. I would not go as far to say that this potential upset suggests a necessary loss this summer or in November, but last night’s “virtual tie” with Senator Sanders must feel disruptive. We do not have a confirmed birth time for Mrs. Clinton, though the PM birth time suggests to me a more prominent need to take charge than the AM. The later birth time also paints a more compelling portrait of someone who could be both famous and disruptive since the beginning of time. Donald Trump has a similar pattern in his horoscope.
Wouldn’t it be fun if someday a publication like the New York Times made room for an astrological commentary in its hallowed digital pages? An article entitled “Explaining the Unexpected in the Iowa Caucuses” would have quite a different spin.
