Astro-logical Forecast for Monday 1/17/2011

Happy birthday to Betty White! And happy Martin Luther King, Jr Day, too — MLK’s actual birthday was Jan 15th. Still, it seems fitting that today begins with two aspects that suggest taking note of your dreams upon waking…

If you’re working today, you may have a surprising amount of information to process this morning. Be kind to your machines and your tech support people, lest they be overloaded. Moon goes void at 12:57 PM NY time, then enters Cancer at 2:29 PM. This suggests a slow start and/or an unexpected departure from your usual morning routine on the West Coast, and a perfect lunch break on the East Coast.

Moon in Cancer for the remainder of the day suggests a need to focus on the comforts of home and whatever else makes us feel secure therein. Speeches heard this afternoon may wax rhapsodic about patriotism, homeland, mom and apple pie. In the headlines, I anticipate more  leaps in consciousness in the areas of technology and the cosmos (including astrology) and the humanitarian spirit.

This day affords an opportunity to apply an innovative, expansive approach to your make-it-happen strategy you’ve been acting on since the New Moon on Jan 4th. Communicate. Network. Concentrated mental focus is also favored — of a persuasive, persistent, investigative kind  — watch the headlines for more dirt on your favorite government institution — as well as for an opportunity to state your case. Watch for brutal honesty in power struggles, too.
