Astro-logical Forecast for Tuesday 4/3/2012: Que Sera Sera

It’s Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 and that means it is actress/singer Doris Day’s 88th birthday. Here is Doris Day singing Que Sera Sera from Hitchcock’s classic film The Man Who Knew Too Much. Happy birthday, Miss Day! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZbKHDPPrrc&feature=fvsr

Que Sera Sera would be a terrible signature song for an astrologer.

An indulgent connection between loving Venus in sensual Taurus and  the “oh just adore me, why don’t you” Leo Moon could get your day off to a jolly good start. It might also be a suggestion of wretched excess, picking up where a potentially expansive aspect left off yesterday (as I type, the markets are reportedly up in Asia. For now). Wretched excess revealed, eh? Like the big fat trip to Vegas on taxpayer dollars that just caused a number of heads to roll at the General Services Administration http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/03/us/politics/general-services-administration-chief-resigns.html?_r=1&hp ?

And speaking of excess, maybe we’ll learn for sure who won the Mega Millions jackpot that was held on Friday, under the auspices of a sensational, fanatical opposition between Mars and Neptune. When these two planets get together it’s a dazzling mix. Just ask Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich, who have this cocktail in their horoscopes.

Moon moves into discriminating Virgo at 9:53AM ET, and could immediately launch a clean-up effort to put everything right, though it may get side-tracked by an unattainable dream around lunchtime ET, thanks to — hello — nebulous Neptune rolling in like so much fog. What passion for perfection — or perfect organization could result in a critical (Virgo!) outburst around 5:16PM ET, hmmm? Depth and perspective are favored later that night, when incisive Pluto facilitates emotional release.

But wait, there’s more: loving Venus leaves earthbound Taurus for airy Gemini at 11:18AM ET, suggesting glib communication and wordplay will be back in vogue — or downright seductive — over the next few weeks. Who will whisper sweet nothings in your ear? With Venus also under the influence of nebulous Neptune (an exact square happens Thursday at 9:51PM ET), watch for troubadours, gurus, Romeos, refined artists and others wearing rose-colored glasses. If you’re an artist, healer, saint or other inspirational type, may these next few days find you especially creative.

One intriguing headline reflecting not only the fantasy-driven surrender/fanaticism suggested by nebulous Neptune opposing macho Mars is Sunday’s op-ed by Maureen Dowd, reporting on the erotic novel that’s all the rage among the double-X chromosome set. It’s clearly been spiked by that “resistance is futile” power play suggested by ruthless Pluto’s challenge to the Sun on Thursday.http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/01/opinion/sunday/dowd-shes-fit-to-be-tied.html?partner=rssnyt&emc=rss   Add Pluto in Capricorn — the PTB — challenging Uranus in Aries — freedom of the individual — to this lurid headline, also about a power play. Yesterday the Supreme Court ruled that there are apparently no limits whatsoever on strip searches of persons who are arrested and held in police custody http://loyalopposition.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/04/02/the-right-to-strip/  Meanwhile, in the UK, Big Brother is definitely watching…and listening, too:   http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/03/world/europe/british-government-eavesdropping-plans-draw-protest.html?hp  Stay tuned for more on this developing story as the year progresses…
